A Message from the Principal | Visitation Catholic STEM Academy

Dear Visitation Families,

My name is Marc Nuno and it is an honor for me to introduce myself as the new principal of Visitation Catholic STEM Academy.  I hope to be able to get to know you as both the principal and as a member of the community.   My wife, Bridget and I wanted to move here from Southern California in order to be closer to her family.  I am grateful and fortunate to be able to experience this next chapter of my life with the community at Visitation.

As principal, my role at Visitation will be to ensure faith development, academic excellence, and to be a good steward of the school’s resources.  As a Catholic educator, I value the partnership between teachers and parents, and I am ready to share in that blessed work, to carry forward our strong faith community in service to the young people in our parish.

I believe that young people are nurtured in faith through an environment that is rich with meaningful faith experiences and an environment that demonstrates respect to all people.  Our academics will continue to prepare the students for college preparatory work in high school and beyond by supporting the faculty in their ongoing growth as educators and through our partnership with the families in our school.  Thank you for welcoming me into the community and thank you for your partnership in Catholic education.

Essential to the ongoing growth of our school is the partnership and involvement of our school families.  Participation in school committees can be a rewarding and fulfilling way to strengthen our school.  We are looking for people to serve on teams that will support the PTO, campus beautification, school history, plant/facility, athletics, enrollment, after-school programs, and a student service club.  Consider how your skills or things you enjoy doing might be of service to our school.  These committees would meet on an as needed basis, not more than once a month and most likely less than that.  The meetings would not be longer than one hour at any given time and we would try our best to make it feasible for all members to be in attendance whether that means meeting in mornings, evenings, or at any time that would work best.  If would like to support our school in any way, you may contact the principal at nunom@visitationschool.net.

Blessings,

Marc Nuno
